Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to visit to Nagaland today

Union Minister for Culture & Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will be on a two day visit to Nagaland starting today. He will be the Chief Guest at the afternoon session of the Cultural Connect event of the 25th Hornbill Festival 2024 at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama.

 

The Union Minister is scheduled to visit the War Cemetery in Kohima and inspect the under-construction NEZCC convention centre in Dimapur tomorrow.

 

Additionally, the morning session of the Cultural Connect at the Main Arena in Kisama at 10 AM will be graced by the Minister for Tourism, Sikkim, Tshering Thendup Bhutia, SIMFED Chairman Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia, and the Ambassador of Peru to India, Xavier Paulinich. Other highlights for today include the Disability Pride Fair 2024 and the Log Drum Pulling Programme organized by the Tikhir Tribal Council.

 

Meanwhile, the 25th Hornbill Festival attracted a total of 17,588 visitors on its second day yesterday. These include 428 foreign tourists, 4,698 domestic tourists, and 12,462 local visitors. This brings the total number of visitors since the start of the festival to 41,498.
