The Union Minister of State for Communication and Rural Development Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar visited Manipur and monitored the projects taken up under the central funding in various places of Kakching district of the State today. The Union Minister arrived in Kakching district of Manipur this afternoon and inaugurated a new Post Office building constructed at Kakching Phousupat Leikai. The Chief Postmaster General of North East Circle- Sanjiv Ranjan also present in the inaugural function. He also visited the Kakching Community Health Centre and monitored the progress of houses constructed under PMAY Scheme and Public Pond Renovation project under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav taken in the district. He also monitored the road constructed under PMGSY in the district.

Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar visited three relief camps set up in Kakching district today. He interacted with the inmates of camps and checked the necessary provisions provided to the inmates. He also attended a meeting in which all the high ranking officers of the district were present.
