Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that the recently approved Bio-E3 policy will contribute to India’s green transition and economic development. The BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment, and Employment) Policy is intended to foster high-performance biomanufacturing in the country. Addressing the golden jubilee celebration of Indo-German science and technology cooperation in New Delhi today, the Minister added that the country has witnessed stiff growth in the science and technology sector under his government. He described the science and technology sector as the strategic pillar of the world, highlighting that India’s space missions have achieved remarkable feats recently.
Dr. Singh also expressed happiness that India’s start-up ecosystem has achieved third place worldwide. Highlighting the relationship between India and Germany, the Minister observed that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of S&T will further help in strengthening the bilateral relationship. The Indo-German Science and Technology Cooperation is a joint effort by the governments of India and Germany to facilitate research and development networking through substantive interactions among government, academia, and industries.
