Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda today launched Training for Awareness Campaign on Elimination of Sickle Cell Disease, in Delhi. The event was organized by National Tribal Research Institute, under the National Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Mission.
The program aims at elimination of the disease by the year 2047. Addressing the event, the Union Minister said that the most important part for the success of the mission is awareness. He said, to achieve maximum understanding among various tribes, all communication content and modules will be translated into all local dialects of different regions.
