Union Minister & senior BJP leader Anurag Singh Thakur addresses party supporters in Bengaluru

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and senior BJP leader Anurag Singh Thakur addressed party supporters in Bengaluru today as part of a rally by Bengaluru South BJP candidate Tejasvi Surya who filed his nomination today. In his address, Union Minister Thakur charged that under one year rule of Congress, Bengaluru is facing acute shortage of water. The city, he noted, is the second highest tax-generating city after Mumbai and it is now facing water scarcity. He also accused the Congress of sheltering PFI and getting the support of SDPI. Saying that Modi means Maker of developed India, Anurag Thakur reeled out data on the development projects accomplished by the central government in the last 10 years. He said 25 crore people were brought above the poverty line, the poor are given free ration, houses, toilets, Ayushman health insurance, gas connection and drinking water. The number of AIIMS, IIMs, Airport, Metro and expressway connectivity have gone up and 41 new Vande Bharat trains introduced. The Fragile Five economy before 2014 is today the fifth largest economy. He noted that Rahul Gandhi has failed to contest from UP and Congress is today limited to the Gandhi family.
