Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has congratulated Avinash Sable for bagging India's First-Ever Gold in the Men’s 3000 metre Steeplechase at Asian Games and adding an Asian Games Record to his name. 

In a social media post, Mr. Thakur said TOPS scheme athlete Avinash showcased unparalleled determination and skill, taking the front position and gliding through the track with remarkable prowess in the last lap. He said Sable's victory is a testament to the hard work and grit he poured into perfecting his craft.
