The stalemate over the issue of resumption of talk between Centre and leaders of Ladakh on four points demands ended with the announcement of date for dialogue. Union Home Ministry has called the next round of talks of the already constituted High Powered Committee under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on the 3rd of December.
Earlier, the series of talks by the committee were held since it was formed in 2023 and the last talk was held in March this year. Announcements of date for dialogues also ended the ongoing indefinite hunger strike by Climate Activist Sonam Wangchuk and other Ladakhi activists since October 6 last in New Delhi who have been demanding the resumption of talks by the centre.
