Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decision to increase the MSP of six Rabi crops for Marketing Season 2025-26.

Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr Chouhan said that the MSP of wheat has been fixed at 2,425, for Barley it is Rs 1,980 for Gram the MSP will now be 5 thousand 650 rupees, for Lentil it is Rs 6,700 for Rapeseed, the new MSP will be Rs 5,950 and for Safflower it will be Rs 5,940 rupees per quintal. Mr Chouhan said that it is the Narendra Modi government which took the decision to procure at MSP giving more than 50 profit on the production cost.
