In Assam, unidentified gunmen ambushed a vehicle of Assam Rifles at Namdang area in Margherita bordering Arunachal Pradesh. Two personnel of Assam Rifles were injured and they have been airlifted for treatment. It is suspected that NSCN militants are involved in the attack. The Assam Rifles team has also retaliated but details of injury or casualty are not known yet. Senior police officials have reached the spot.
