At least 10 people were killed and 90 injured after a Russian missile strike hit Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, late last night. According to the country’s Interior Ministry rescue operations continued through the early hours of the morning as crews searched for survivors and cleared debris from multiple damaged buildings.
Kyiv officials said residential areas were among the targets, with several apartment complexes sustaining heavy damage. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strike as a deliberate targeting of civilians and renewed calls for additional air defense systems from Western allies.
Meanwhile, Russia also launched a large-scale missile strike on the northeastern city of Kharkiv. Mayor Ihor Terekhov said at least seven missiles hit the city. The attacks come amid stalled peace talks and rising tensions in the region.
