U.S. stocks closed higher yesterday, as tech giant Nvidia jumped 8 percent in trading after the bell, hitting an all-time high.
           
The Nasdaq Composite index appreciated two percent and the S&P 500 index added 1.1 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average accelerated half a percent.
