In the ICC Under-19 Women’s Cricket T20 World Cup, defending champions India defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs in their third and final Group A fixture in Kuala Lumpur today. With their third win on the trot, India also finished Group A on top of the table with six points. After being asked to bat first, India put up a decent score of 118 for the loss of nine wickets. In response, Sri Lanka made a horrendous start to their run-chase as India reduced them to 26 for five in the powerplay. In the end, India restricted Sri Lanka to 58 for nine in 20 overs. Gongadi Trisha was adjudged Player of the Match for her fine knock of 49 off 44 balls.
