Two Rescued from 50-Meter Well in Arunachal Pradesh

In Arunachal Pradesh, two people were rescued from a 50-meter deep well at Pasighat in East Siang District today.

 

East Siang District Disaster Mangement Officer (DDMO) Tsangpa Tashi informed that the two men got unconscious by poisonous gas while cleaning the well and were trapped in it.

 

He said as soon as the information was received, SDRF team was pressed into action. Mr. Tashi informed that one AAPDA Mitra Volunteer, George Pazing went into the well carrying oxygen cylinder and successfully rescued both the persons. The arduous rescue operation lasted for over four hours. The DDMO said that it was a successful joint operation by the SDRF and Police.

 

Both the victims are reported to be in critical conditions and have been hospitalized in Pasighat Bakin Pertin General Hospital for necessary medical treatment.
