In Assam, Senior BJP leader and  former Union Minister Rameshwar Teli and former legislator Mission Ranjan Das submitted nomination for the two Rajya Sabha seats today.  Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with senior leaders of alliance partners accompanied them during the submission of nominations in Guwahati. Opposition parties have not fielded any candidate so both the BJP candidates are almost certain to win uncontested.
