Tripura: Two to three complaints of violation of MCC received and response to code violation submitted appropriately

In Tripura, two to three complaints of violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) have been received and the response to the code violation has been submitted appropriately. Talking to Akashvani News Agartala, Returning Officer and District Magistrate for Tripura (West) parliamentary constituency, Dr Vishal Kumar said that those who were found guilty from the election department have been issued show-cause notices.

 

Dr. Kumar further said that the election department has been holding regular meetings with political parties for the smooth conduct of elections. He said five Observers which include two general, two police and one expenditure observer deputed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) have reached Agartala.

 

He said that the election department is imparting training to the teachers who are on examination duties in schools to report for training after 2 pm.

 

Also those schools where examinations will not be conducted there mock poll trainings are being conducted.

 

The District Magistrate said out of the 793 polling station in Tripura (West) constituency 165 falls under vulnerable polling stations. However, he expressed confidence the number of such polling stations will drop as it depends on the dynamics of the existing situation.

 

Meanwhile, the BJP nominee from Tripura (West) Lok Sabha seat, Biplab Kumar Deb and his Congress rival Ashish Saha from Indian National Congress are scheduled to file their nomination papers for the April 19 poll on Thursday (27th March 2024).
