Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has launched the e-cabinet system at the state secretariat to develop digital infrastructure in the state. He also felicitated all departments of the state government which have made the e-office system 100 percent effective as part of the initiative to run paperless offices. Certificates were handed over to the Director of each department. The Chief Minister said, the launch of e-cabinet system is a historic moment for the state. After Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura is the fourth state to implement the e-cabinet system. It is modelled on the e-cabinet system of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that Tripura is progressing in every field. In order to make the Central Government's 'Digital India' campaign a success, the State Government has laid emphasis on expanding all possible measures to build digital infrastructure across the State. As part of digitization, the state government has decided to introduce e-office system in every department. Every department is working in mission mode to implement this programme. Already out of 94 departments, 41 departments have made e-office system 100 percent effective which is truly commendable. The Chief Minister also said that the current era is the era of digitization.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that digitization of the state government in every field will make everything easier for the next generation. Besides, all these programmes will also help in building Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura.
