Tripura CM expresses gratitude to PM Modi for including Udaipur, Dharmanagar & Kumarghat railway stations in redevelopment project

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishaw for including Udaipur, Dharmanagar, and Kumarghat railway stations from the State in the redevelopment project.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion of Amrit Bharat Station by Prime Minister Modi at Udaipur railway station under Gomati district, the Chief Minister flanked by Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik said that the face of North East has changed because of PM's Act East Policy.

Dr. Saha said, the Chief Ministers from the North Eastern States, now feel that they have been included in the mainstream.

He asserted that the HIRA model of the Prime Minister in Tripura is ushering development in the State. He said, this year, Tripura will be internationally linked to Akhaura railway station in Bangladesh from Agartala. This railway route will enable the people of Tripura to reach Kolkata in mere 10 hours as against 34 hours, presently. 

The Chief Minister informed that for the redevelopment of Agartala railway station, 235.45 crore rupees have been allocated by the Centre. Another 96.60 crore rupees will be spent for the redevelopment of Udaipur under Gomati district, Dharmanagar under North Tripura, and Kumarghat under Unakoti railway stations in the State of Tripura.
