The Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 programme to begin from 7th onwards till 12th of this month in Tripura will ensure that no pregnant woman and children are left out of immunisation. This was stated by Tripura NHM Director Subhasish Das in a press conference at Agartala today.
 
He said that One thousand eight hundred and 97 pregnant women, 10 thousand 2 hundred and 60 children will be immunized in the three-phase immunization programme. The remaining two phases of immunization programme will be held on 11-16 September and from 9-14 October, this year.
 
The vaccination which will protect children and women from life-threatening diseases will be held at 1,249 vaccination sessions.
 
Mr. Das said that those children and pregnant women who want to be immunized can register themselves on U-win portal. 
 
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Shah will inaugurate the state level programme at Unakoti on 5th of this month, he added.
