TMC delegation meets West Bengal Governor to demand disbursal of alleged dues of MGNREGA and PM Awas Yojana

A Trinamool Congress delegation met West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose at Kolkata Raj Bhavan on Monday to demand disbursal of the alleged dues of MGNREGA and PM Awas Yojana in the state. A 30-member delegation was led by the party's All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. 
 
According to the Trinamool Congress, Panchayat Minister Pradeep Majumder, several MLAs and seven people who have not received money under the 100-day work and housing scheme were in the delegation. 

TMC leader Sudeep Banerjee, one of the members of the delegation, said that their meeting with the Governor was good. A memorandum containing their demands and several letters from the deprived people have also been handed over to the Governor.
 
Meanwhile, after the meeting, a statement from the Raj Bhavan informed that the Governor listened patiently to the Trinamool Congress representatives. It said, the matter would be brought under the notice of the Central Government, adding that the governor would do whatever was necessary for the welfare of the people of the state.
