In Tamil Nadu, three pilgrims were killed in an accident at the Sattur-Kovilpatti National Highway early this morning. Fifty pilgrims from Sankarankovil were on a pilgrimage to Irukkankudi temple by road at the National Highway when a lorry from Tirunelveli to Madurai ran berserk and hit them. Three pilgrims were killed on the spot and the lorry driver was arrested. Further inquiry is being conducted by the police.
