The three major US share indices jumped as investors were optimistic amid gains in technology-related stocks gaining. The Nasdaq ended more than one and a half percent higher yesterday.
 
The yield on 10-year Treasury notes hit highs last seen during the Great Financial Crisis in 2007 as investors looked warily toward a meeting of central bankers who convene on Thursday at Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is due to speak on Friday. The Nasdaq Composite index climbed 1.6 percent, the S&P 500 index rose 0.7 percent and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.3 percent.
