Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said there is a huge scope of cooperation between Maharashtra and Taiwan in the fields of technology and industrial development. Addressing the Opening Ceremony of Taiwan Expo 2023 at NESCO in Goregaon today, Mr. Fadnavis said, Mumbai is a known hub for finance, commerce, and entertainment while Taiwan is known for its technological advances.
Stating that Maharashtra aims to become a trillion-dollar economy by 2028, Mr. Fadnavis said the State is known as a powerhouse that is home to 25 unicorns. Inviting Taiwan investors, the Deputy Chief Minister said the State will extend all necessary cooperation to about 90 companies that are participating in the expo and are looking positively to invest in Maharashtra. Mr. Fadnavis said the expo is a must-visit for small and medium-scale enterprises.
Also present on the occasion, Chairman of Taiwan External Development Council, Mr. James Huang said Maharashtra is a trusted partner in the investment sector and partnership in the digital sector will continue to be nurtured in the future.
