The Thailand Masters 2025 badminton tournament begins today at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok. Former world No.1 Kidambi Srikanth will lead India’s charge at the tournament. He will face Daniil Dubovenko of Israel in the Men’s Singles opening round.
Ayush Shetty, Tharun Mannepalli, Sankar Subramanian, Sathish Karunakaran, Meiraba Maisnam, Rithvik Sanjeevi and Mithun Manjunath are also a part of the men’s singles event at the Thailand Masters. In the women’s singles event, Tanya Hemanth will face Selvaduray Kisona of Malaysia in her round of 32 match while Rakshitha Ramraj and Shriyanshi Valishetty square off in an all-Indian opening-round clash. The pair of Hariharan Amsakarunan and Ruban Kumar Rethinasabapathi is India’s highest-ranked entry in the men’s doubles at world No. 49. Kavipriya Selvam and Simran Singhi are India’s sole representatives in the women’s doubles event. Meanwhile, the mixed doubles section also comprises just one Indian entry – Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Gadde.
