In Tennis, India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Australian companion Matthew Ebden have advanced to the Men’s Doubles quarterfinals of the Paris Masters in France last night.
The Indian-Australian duo, seeded third, defeated Alexander Zverev of Germany and Marcelo Melo of Brazil in the pre-quarterfinal in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6.
Bopanna and Ebden have also clinched a spot in the ATP Finals, which will be held from November 10 at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. The ace shuttlers sealed their place in the Finals after the United States’ pair of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow were eliminated at the Paris Masters in the Round of 32. This will be Bopanna’s fourth appearance at the ATP Finals. Last year, they reached the semi-finals before being defeated by Granollers and Zeballos.
