Temporary shutdown of hydro projects in various states due to heavy rains caused revenue loss of more than 275 crore rupees

Due to recent heavy rain in many states of north India and high slit, a number of hydro projects in these states were temporarily shut down causing revenue loss of more than 275 crore rupees.

In a reply in Lok Sabha Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh said that 23 Central and State projects and 6 private sector projects, mostly in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir were shut down due to heavy rains. He informed the house that now all hydro-electric projects except Larji HEP project in Himachal Pradesh have been re-operationalized.
