The Telangana State Legislative Assembly has passed the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill 2023 last evening paving the way for the merger of the TSRTC in the State government. Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar introduced the Bill in the Assembly after Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan gave her approval earlier in the day. Due to the decision, the State government will incur an additional burden of around 3000 crore rupees per annum. He assured that the contract and outsourcing workers will continue to render their services as per existing rules.
