In Telangana, several areas are reeling under the sweltering heat as heatwave conditions gripped more areas. Several areas especially in 11 districts reported more than 46 degrees Celsius temperatures and nine other districts reported over 45 degrees Celsius. Neredugommu of Nalgonda District recorded the highest Maximum Temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius today. The lowest maximum temperature of 43.1 degrees Celsius has been reported from Hyderabad district.
With the sizzling sun baking the air and the ground, the State Health Department has issued an advisory for protection against Heat Waves appealing to people to take precautions and not ignore the heat and not step out of homes or stay in shaded cool areas to the extent possible over the next few days. The advisory also asked people to be careful and not risk their health and lives by going out in the sun, especially in the afternoon.
