The Telangana Government has constituted the Telangana Education Commission to revamp and strengthen the education sector. The commission will be headed by retired IAS officer A. Murali. The government issued orders to this effect yesterday.

The Telangana Education Commission is expected to play a key role in shaping policies, addressing challenges and ensuring that the education system in the state continues to evolve with changing needs.

The members of the commission are P L Vishweswar Rao, a professor known for his academic expertise, Ch Venkatesh, a distinguished educationist, and K. Jyotsna Shiva Reddy who has contributed ideas for educational reforms. The term of these members will be the same as that of the Chairperson.
