Telangana Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan has extended wishes to people of the state on the occasion of decennial celebrations of the state formation. The governor wished that the indomitable spirit of Telangana grows stronger with each passing day. The state was carved out of Andhra Pradesh state on June 2nd in 2014. In a message, the governor said the milestone fills the hearts of Telangana’s citizens around the world with immense happiness and pride. Stating that the Telangana Formation Day is a heartfelt reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by countless youths in the pursuit of a separate state, the governor paid tributes to the martyrs of the movement for separate statehood for their unwavering dedication. Mr Radhakrishnan said the struggle for statehood witnessed spirited participation from all sections of society and the mass movement achieved significant milestones with the numerous sacrifices from students and youths advocating for the cause. He expressed confidence that the aspirations and hard work of the people, employees, leaders, and policymakers will continue to protect Telangana’s unique identity and secure its rightful share of resources and opportunities. Stating that the state is renowned for its leadership in IT, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and agriculture, is on a steadfast path of inclusive development and prosperity.
