Telangana Election Campaign Gains Momentum Ahead of May 13 Polls

In Telangana, electioneering gained momentum with top leaders of various political parties making whirlwind tours in support of their party candidates. All major parties stepped up campaigning with less than a week time left for electioneering. All the 17 Lok Sabha Constituencies will go to polls on the 13th of this month. BJP President J P Nadda addressed an election rally at Peddapalli. He reiterated that the Modi government strived for the welfare of SCs, STs and OBCs. Alleging that the earlier Congress government encouraged family politics while the Modi government developed all sectors. He also addressed another rally in Nalgonda. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami campaigned in Mahabubabad in support of BJP candidate Sitaram Naik. BJP Tamil Nadu President Annamalai campaigned in support of Karimnagar Candidate B. Sanjay Kumar.

 

Meanwhile, the Pradesh Congress NRI cell has released a chargesheet against BJP Candidate D Aravind. The Congress leaders including Rajya Sabha Member Renuka Choudhary alleged that he did injustice to gulf labourers. The Congress alleged that Arvind did not write to the centre on insurance, setting up consulates of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in Hyderabad. Chief Minister and PCC president Revanth Reddy will hold road shows in Ambarpet and Musheerabad in Hyderabad later this evening. Meanwhile, BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will be holding a roadshow later this evening at Jagtial.
