In Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister, also the Finance Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today presented a 3 lakh 4 thousand 965 crore rupees budget for the upcoming 2025-26 financial year. A major chunk of the budget share is proposed for the agriculture, irrigation, and power sectors. Mr Vikramarka announced 24 thousand 439 crore rupees for agriculture, including 12 thousand crore annual input assistance per farmer under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The budget estimates include about 2 lakh 27 thousand crore rupees in revenue expenditure and 36 thousand 504 crore rupees in capital expenditure.
In his budget speech, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government aimed at achieving a One-trillion-dollar economy in 10 years, with a projected 10.1 per cent Gross State Domestic Product growth, surpassing the national GDP growth.
