Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today hoisted the national flag and received a guard of honour from the armed forces at an official programme held to celebrate National Integration Day on 17th September 2023. The State government is celebrating across the State the Hyderabad Liberation Day as the National Integration Day on 17th September 2023. The National Flag has been hoisted at all the Constitutional Institutions, Political parties, and government offices on the occasion.

Addressing the people of Telangana from Public Gardens in Hyderabad the Chief Minister said that it was appropriate to celebrate the occasion of Hyderabad princely state becoming a part of the Indian Union as ‘National Integration Day’. He said the State stood as a role model for the rest of the country due to its commitment for the welfare of all sections of people. 

Earlier, State Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan also hoisted the national flag at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.
