Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao flags off fleet of 466 new vehicles with advanced facilities in Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao flagged off a fleet of 466 new vehicles with advanced facilities in Hyderabad yesterday to strengthen the medical and health infrastructure in the state. These vehicles have been sent to all districts. The vehicles are meant for various services including the ‘108’ (One not Eight) emergency ambulance service, the ‘102’ (One not Two) Amma Vodi service which caters pregnant women and Hearse vehicles.
 
204 vehicles are for ‘108’ emergency service, 228 vehicles are for Amma Vodi mother and child transport vehicles and 34 are Hearse Vehicles which will provide specialised services for transporting bodies of the deceased back to their native place free of cost. Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister T Harish Rao said the initiatives will help improving emergency healthcare services in the state. He also said the state is setting new milestones in terms of health infrastructure development and in establishment of one government medical college in each district of the State.
