Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the concerned officials to take all steps required for smooth procurement of paddy across the state.
The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to speed up paddy procurement and suggested that the special officers should visit purchasing centres. Further, the state government is paying a bonus of 500 rupees per quintal on fine paddy, benefitting lakhs of farmers. Speaking to the media in Suryapet district yesterday, the minister assured that the State government was prepared to purchase every grain from farmers and had allocated 20 thousand crore rupees for the procurement drive.
He added that additional funds will be arranged if necessary to ensure smooth operations. The Minister stressed that all necessary arrangements had been made to prevent any inconvenience to farmers.
