Telangana: CM, Deputy CM call on PM Modi in Delhi, discuss various issues related to state

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and discussed various issues related to the state. This is the first meeting of the Chief Minister after Mr. Modi assumed the office for the third term. The Key pending issues relating to the state were discussed during the meeting. An official release stated that the Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to allocate coal mines within the limits of Singareni Coal Collieries Limited to the public sector company only. He also urged the Centre to restore the IT Investments Region (ITIR) in the state. He also urged the centre to fulfil the assurances given in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The meeting went on for about an hour. The meeting with the Prime Minister and senior ministers ahead of the meeting of the two Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has gained importance. The Chief Ministers of Telugu States are scheduled to meet on Saturday in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister and his deputy also called on Amit Shah seeking additional IPS posts and funds for strengthening the State Cyber Security Bureau.
