In Telangana, all arrangements are in place for the grand celebration of Vinayaka Chavithi with an emphasis on eco-friendly practices. The State Government has announced free electricity supply to the community pandals this time. Government and private and voluntary organisations have distributed lakhs of eco-friendly Ganesh idols to people to discourage them from using idols made of Plaster of Paris.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of the Vinayaka Chavithi festival. Governor wished and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the State and of the nation. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also greeted people on the occasion. He also directed the officials to be on high alert and ensure smooth vehicular movement in Hyderabad and all district headquarters during the celebrations.
