Prime Minister Narendra Modi said,  India is a rapidly developing economy and is continuously strengthening its ecology. He said, from International Solar Alliance to the LiFE movement,  New India today is fast emerging as a leader in sustainable solutions.  India is leading the charge, he added. Addressing the National Conference of Environment Ministers of all States through video conferencing, Mr. Modi said, New India is progressing with a new approach and new thinking.

The Prime Minister said, India's forest cover has increased and wetlands are also expanding rapidly. He said, over the years, Gir's lions, Tigers, Elephants, One-Horned Rhinos, and Leopards have increased in numbers.

     

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged States to work together to achieve India's target of net zero emissions by 2070.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Nitish Kumar betrayed the people of Bihar after making government with an alliance of Lalu Yadav-led RJD and Congress. Addressing Janbhavana Sabha at Rangbhoomi Maidan in Purnea this afternoon, Mr. Shah accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of cheating the people of the State for the sake of chair. Criticising Mr. Nitish Kumar and Mr. Lalu Yadav, Mr. Shah said that they are doing politics of selfishness and power but the BJP works for the people and their development. He said, the people of Bihar voted in the name of Prime Minister Modi but Mr. Nitish Kumar stabbed the mandate.

Mr Shah emphasised that Bihar needs BJP for development and exhorted people to vote for the Party.

Mr Shah mentioned that all four districts in the border areas are integral parts of India and no one should fear anyone.

Mr. Shah is scheduled to meet MPs, MLAs, and office bearers of the BJP in Kishanganj this evening. Later He will also hold a review meeting with the Bihar BJP core committee to discuss the political situation in Bihar.

Tomorrow  Union Home Minister will inaugurate the building of four Border Observation Posts at Fatehpur, Pektola, Beria Aamgachi and Raniganj at the SSB camp in Kishanganj. Mr Shah will hold a review meeting of border security with the Director General of BSF, SSB and ITBP at the BSF camp in the district.

Before departing for Delhi, Amit Shah will participate 'Sundar Subhumi' programme which has been organised on the occasion of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' at Mata Gujari College in Kishanganj. Mr Shah will also offer prayer at Burhi Kali Mandir.

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today said, the trajectory of the Ukraine conflict is a matter of profound concern for the entire international community. Speaking at the UNSC briefing on Ukraine, Dr Jaishankar said, the outlook appears truly disturbing. He said that in a globalised world, its impact is being felt even in distant regions. The Minister said, India strongly reiterates the need for an immediate cessation of all hostilities and a return to dialogue and diplomacy. He said, this cannot be an era of war. Dr Jaishankar stressed that the fight against impunity is critical to the larger pursuit of securing peace and justice. He stated that the Security Council must send an unambiguous and unequivocal message on this count. He made a strong point that politics should never provide cover to evade accountability.

The External Affairs Ministry today advised Indian nationals and students from India in Canada and those proceeding to Canada for travel and education to exercise caution and remain vigilant due to hate crimes. The Ministry released the advisory in view of the increase in incidents of hate crimes, sectarian violence and anti-India activities in Canada. The Ministry of External Affairs, Indian High Commission and Consulates General in Canada have taken up these incidents with the Canadian authorities and requested them to investigate the crimes and take appropriate action.  The Ministry said, the perpetrators of these crimes have not been brought to justice so far in Canada. The advisory stated that Indian nationals and students from India in Canada may also register with the High Commission of India in Ottawa or Consulates General of India in Toronto and Vancouver through their websites, or the MADAD portal madad.gov.in. Registration would enable the High Commission and the Consulates General to connect better with Indian citizens in Canada in case of any emergency.

Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that decarbonising cities and buildings should be the highest priority for the public and private sectors to address the adversity of climate change. He said, it needs to be done by using an integrated and technology-based approach to bring systemic efficiency.

Addressing the Roundtable on “Net Zero Built Environment with Connected Communities” at Global Clean Energy Action Forum-2022 at Pittsburgh, in the United States today, Dr Singh called for important actions like a global Memorandum of Understanding concerning enhancing the research and development, Deployment, Knowledge and technology sharing related to demand-driven solutions to address the challenges of climate change.

Union Health Minister Dr Mnasukh Mandaviya has said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme has strengthened the Government’s mission to ensure Health for All. Dr Mandaviya said, the cashless treatment facility provided under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB- PMJAY) for poor and underserved families has substantially reduced their out-of-pocket expenditure and in turn prevented financial bankruptcy. The Health Minister stated this while interacting virtually with some beneficiaries from different parts of the country in New Delhi on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of AB-PMJAY.

The highest-located district in India, Leh has achieved 100 per cent digitisation of banking operations. Celebrating the achievement in a meet organised by UT Level Bankers Committee Ladakh, the Reserve Bank of India has felicitated the bankers of the district. Leh district has completed the digitisation of all the operating banks in a short span of a year. Addressing the bankers, UT Ladakh Advisor Umang Narula said digitisation indicates the development of society. He said, after becoming a Union Territory, a massive flow of funds was funnelled into the banking system in the region.

India has achieved significant landmarks in the reduction of Child Mortality. As per the Sample Registration System Statistical Report 2020, the country has been witnessing a progressive reduction in Infant Mortality Rate, Neonatal Mortality Rate and under-five Mortality Rate since 2014.

Union Minister of State for Railways and Textiles Darshana Jardosh held a meeting with the Members of Parliament from Karnataka in Bengaluru today to elicit their views on the ongoing Central Government projects. Addressing the media persons later, the Union Minister said that close coordination and cooperation between the State and the Central Government has helped speed up the implementation of ongoing projects in Karnataka. She informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off an upgraded Vande Bharat 2 train between Gandhinagar and Mumbai on the 30th of September and soon the service of Vande Bharat will be extended to other States too.

Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy today dedicated the new railway line between Medak and Akkannapet railway stations to the nation. The 17 km long line has been laid for 205 crore rupees. He also flagged off the passenger train from Medak to Kachiguda at Medak railway station this evening. He also inaugurated the passenger ticket reservation and booking office on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the long-cherished dream of the people has been realised with the new line from Medak to Akkanapet.

The twelfth Session of the Twelfth Tripura Legislative Assembly has begun today. In reply to a question during the session Tripura Transport Minister Pranajit Singh Roy said that flight services between Agartala and Chittagong in Bangladesh will start very shortly. The Tripura government has sent a proposal to the aviation ministry to declare Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) airport as an International airport officially, the Minister added.

The two-day session will end on the 26th of September.

Meanwhile, one BJP MLA Burbu Mohan Tripura of 43 Karbook constituency has tendered his resignation to the Speaker of Tripura Assembly Ratan Chakraborty today before the beginning of the session.

A collection of selected speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was released today at Akashvani Bhawan in New Delhi. The book titled 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas-Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks' portrays the Prime Minister's vision of a new India. The book was released by former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammed Khan and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur.

On this occasion, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, the book, Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas - Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks ( May 2019 - May 2020) reflects the ideas, determination and decisiveness of Modi's Government. He said, reform, perform and good governance are the mantra of this government which have transformed the lives of people. Mr. Naidu lauded the Prime Minister's leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic saying that the required capacities were built in a short time. 

Shri Naidu recalled the time the vision of opening crores of bank accounts appeared unattainable, but under the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the target was achieved very quickly. Counting Direct Benefit Transfer as the biggest achievement of the Government, Shri Naidu said, it freed people from the shackles of middlemen, ensuring endpoint delivery of welfare measures.

Speaking on this occasion, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said, concerns towards women and marginalised class have been reflected in the book. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic step to end Triple Talaq. He said, the importance of this step will be observed in the future.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become the 5th largest economy in the world. He said, the book highlights the Prime Minister's vision.

The Minister asked the Opposition to read this book so they will get the answers to their questions.

Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Apurva Chandra, CEO Prasar Bharati Mayank Agrawal, Director General of All India Radio News Dr. Vasudha Gupta, Director General of Publication Divison Monideepa Mukherjee and other senior officials of the Ministry were present at the event.

Union Home Affairs and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Eastern and North-Eastern Zones Dairy Cooperative Conclave at Gangtok in Sikkim on the 7th of October, 2022. The one-day conclave will be organised by the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI), informed NCDFI Chairman Mangal Jit Rai.

The theme of the Conclave is “Resilient Eastern and North-Eastern Zones Dairy Cooperatives - Exploring the Challenges and Opportunities”.

Mumbai will also have a generally cloudy sky with light rain. The minimum temperature  will be 24 degree celcius and the maximum will be around 30 degrees. 

 Kolkata will have a partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm. The minimum temperature will be 27 degree celcius and the maximum will be around 34 degrees. 

Chennai is expected to have a mainly clear sky. The minimum temperature will be 28 degree celcius and maximum will be around 38 degrees.    

Srinagar is expected to have a partly cloudy sky, becoming generally cloudy towards the afternoon or evening or night. Minimum temperature will be 14 degree celcius and maximum will be around 29 degrees.

In Jammu and Leh skies will be a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or Thunderstorm or Duststorm. In Jammu, the temperature will hover between 23 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees. While the temperature in Leh will range between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Muzaffarabad will have a mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon or evening. Minimum temperature  will be  19 degree celcius and the maximum will be around 34 degrees.

Gilgit will have partly cloudy sky. The temperature will hover between 11 and 32 degree celcius.  

In the South, Hyderabad will have a generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle. The minimum temperature will be 22 degrees Celsius and  maximum will be around 30 degrees.

Bengaluru will have generally a generally cloudy sky with light rain. The  temperature will vary between 20 and 29 degree celcius.

Thiruvananthapuram will have a partly cloudy sky. The temperature will hover between 24 and 32 degree celcius.

In the North East, Guwahati, Shillong, Gangtok, Agartala, Itanagar, Imphal, Aizawl and Kohima will have a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.Temperature in the region will vary between 16 and 35 degree celcius.
