The Tamil Nadu Government has set up a help desk to assist people from the state living or visiting Israel. In a statement today, the Government said that it would render all possible assistance to those who need to come back to India. They can contact on following numbers: 8760248625; 9940256444; 9600023645 for getting help from Tamil Nadu overseas welfare department. The Government also informed that people who need help can also contact the department through mail in nrtchennai@tn.gov.in and nrtchennai@gmail.com for help.
 
The State Government said that it had received details about 84 persons residing or visiting Israel and the same have been shared with the Ministry of External Affairs. Students and those who are employed in Israel are residing in Beersheba, Yeruham, Ben Gurion, East Jerusalem, University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.
