Tamil Nadu Health Minister M. Subramaniam visited Bengaluru on Sunday where the bodies of the fourteen persons who were killed in yesterday's cracker explosion were kept. Speaking to the media after meeting their families, he said that the matter is under investigation. He said arrangements have been made to transport the mortal remains to their respective districts. Young men were hired from Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts to pack the crackers. Mr. Subramaniam said that an ex-gratia of 3 lakh rupees will be paid to the kin of those killed, one lakh rupees to severely injured and 50,000 rupees for those with minor injuries. The Minister informed that the authorities had been asked to shift the severely wounded to other hospitals with better facilities for further treatment. Seven persons have been wounded in the explosion which occurred last evening. The explosion occurred at a border village near Hosur in Tamil Nadu.
