The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated all over Tamil Nadu. Governor R N Ravi and Union Minister of State for Information and Parliamentary Affairs Dr L Murugan paid respects to Gandhiji at his memorial in Chennai. Chief Minister M K Stalin and other Ministers of the State paid floral tributes at the Gandhi statue at various places. Khadi exhibitions were held in many districts highlighting the local produce. Gram Panchayats were also held on the occasion. Blood donation camps and Swachchata Hi Seva activities were held in several districts to highlight the importance of cleanliness. Indian Air Force Avadi station held Walkathons stressing the importance of sanitation.
