China removes Qin Gang after unexplained absence, appoints Wang Yi as new Foreign Minister

China has ousted its Foreign Minister Qin Gang from office nearly a month after he dropped out of sight. On Tuesday, the decision-making body of the National People's Congress appointed his predecessor, Wang Yi, to take over the post. Qin was last seen in public on June 25 in a meeting with counterparts from overseas.
