No shortage of coal in country, informs Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has informed that there is no shortage of coal in the country. In his written reply in Lok Sabha today, he has informed that all India coal production during 2022-23 was over 893 million tonnes, registering a growth of about 14.77 percent over last year.  The adoption of a five-pronged strategy by the ministry is reducing import dependency on hydrocarbons.
