9-day long Ganesh festivities end in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, a mammoth Ganesh immersion procession is underway amidst massive security peacefully. The 9-day long Ganesh festivities came to an end on Thursday. Devotees are bidding farewell to Lord Ganesh and immerse the idols in about 100 lakes and ponds in and around Hyderabad. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has installed dozens of heavy cranes at over 30 lakes and dozens of special ponds created for immersion.
