India to begin ferry service to Sri Lanka on 10th October from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu

India will begin ferry service to the neighbouring country Srilanka on the 10th of this month from Nagapattinam. The ferry service will reach Kankesanthurai harbour in Sri Lanka in 30 minutes. To facilitate the service, the Union Government dredged the Nagapattinam harbour at a cost of three crore rupees. The passengers can travel to Sri Lanka for a payment of Rs. 6500/-.
