Sensex closes above 65,800 mark; Nifty settles beyond 19,600 level

Domestic benchmark share indices today witnessed gains of around half a percent. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed above the 65,800 mark while the Nifty 50 at the National Stock Exchange settled beyond the 19,600 level. The Sensex climbed 320 points or 0.5 percent to end at 65,828. Similarly, Nifty 50 advanced 115 points or 0.6 percent to settle at 19,638.
