Relief and rescue work continues in Sikkim as many areas remain cut-off following flash floods in Teesta river
Updating on damages caused by rising water levels along the Teesta river basin, Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority (SSDMA) has informed that in Pakyong district, 59 people have been reported missing including 23 Army personnel, while five people were confirmed dead. Singtam and Rangpo sewage treatment plants have been severely damaged.
