The government on Tuesday said over 27,000 hospitals including 11,908 private hospitals are empaneled under Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) till date. In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel said the number of beds in these hospitals is 13 lakh 27 thousand, which average out to 49 beds per hospital.
