Threat of widespread flood looms large over different parts of Odisha under impact of depression over Bay of Bengal

In Odisha, the threat of a medium-scale flood in the Mahanadi system is expected as 9 to 9.5 lakh cusecs of flood water is likely to flow at Mundali in Cuttack district by this evening. The flood water will reach Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Puri districts tomorrow.  The low-lying areas of these 3 districts are under the focus of the state government.
