Nine women killed after jeep falls into deep gorge in Kerala's Wayanad

Nine women were killed when a jeep in which they were travelling lost control and fell into a deep gorge near Manathavady in Wayanad district of Kerala on Friday. Four other occupants of the jeep, including its driver, sustained grevious injuries.   All the occupants of the jeep were tea estate workers, belonging to Wayanad.   Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has expressed deep anguish over the loss of life in the mishap.
