NHRC issues a notice to Bihar Govt over reported assault of an SC woman on failing to pay interest on a loan in Patna

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued yesterday, a notice to the Bihar Government over the reported assault of an SC woman on failing to pay interest on a loan in Patna. Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report, the Commission asked the State Chief Secretary and the Director General of Bihar Police to send a detailed report within four weeks in this regard. NHRC issues notice to Delhi Chief Secretary over the reported death of construction worker due to electrocution in LNJP Hospital

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notice to the Delhi Chief Secretary over the reported death of a construction worker due to electrocution in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital’s basement in New Delhi. The Commission has asked for a detailed report in the matter within four weeks.
